The built-in optical protector safeguards 2 x 10G inline links and supports detection switching mechanisms based on port status and traffic threshold to ensure the protection of inline links and tool interfaces. In case of a fault, you can swiftly switch to bypass mode for uninterrupted link communication and record switch logs. 

Inline bypass switch protection is available in two forms: logical and physical.  

Physical bypass enables packet forwarding in the event of EmbedWay device power failure, allowing maintenance and tool upgrades without impacting network operation or causing downtime.

Logical bypass occurs when an inline tool fails, detected through link breakdown, unresponsive tools, or loss of software control. This allows safe removal of an inline appliance without disrupting the network.

When the tool detects dangerous or illegal packets, it can notify EmbedWay devices either in-band or out-of-band. This timely notification mechanism enables devices to promptly respond and implement appropriate measures to safeguard network security. 

Upon receiving the notification, the device immediately initiates a new access control list (ACL) for analyzing and filtering traffic, effectively blocking sessions associated with hazardous or illicit packets. Simultaneously, it is capable of intercepting and monitoring this traffic while ensuring uninterrupted network operation by isolating potential threats. Leveraging advanced ACL technology, it not only identifies and blocks known types of malware, viruses, and attack codes but also automatically recognizes and handles unknown threats based on real-time updated security databases. 

This intelligent defense mechanism significantly enhances network security while reducing the need for manual intervention in terms of time and cost required. Additionally, the system proactively intercepts traffic targeting specific users (IP), blacklists, application software, etc., providing administrators with more valuable and actionable means to optimize network security strategies.
